GYE NYAME (jee-nyah-MAY)
This unique and beautiful symbol is ubiquitous in Ghana. It is by far the most popular for use in decoration, a reflection on the deeply religious character of the Ghanaian people.  This symbol represents the Omnipotence and immortality of God.  Literally means, except God. The implied meaning is "I fear no one except God" or "All must die except God."

NYAME YE OHENE
Symbol of majesty and supremacy of God. Roughly translated to mean "God is King"

The Number Seven
The number 7 is God's very own number, and is associated with Divine completion and perfection. Seven is often a spiritual number, and refers to respite, introspection, contemplation, and evaluation.  The Number 7 has for ages been regarded as the number of mystery relating to the spiritual side of things. It may be remarked that all through the Bible and other sacred books, the seven, whenever mentioned, always stands in relation to the spiritual or mysterious God’s force.

The Full Circle or 360˚
This represents 360 degrees of knowledge and wisdom.  It also represents the never ending evolutions of life.  In terms of the martial arts specifically the circle (360˚) represents the techniques and body mechanics of the martial artists.  With a deeper understanding of the circle, one begins to understand martial arts, human movements, life and themselves.

The Color Black
This color represents the beginning of time, the darkness and vastness of space where all things began.  Black also represents self-confidence, power, strength, prestige.

What is a Warrior?
A man or woman engaged  or exerienced in all aspects of warfare (the mental, spiritual and physical aspects).  A warrior is the protector of his family, clan and his tribe. A warrior is the guardian of the old ways so that they are not forgotten. A warrior is not motivated by greed, political ambition or fame. A warrior will not put himself above others in need and above all, a warrior is the living spirit of our Ancestors and all that they lived and died for.

What is a Institute?
An institute is a organization for the promotion of  a cause.  It is an educational group or from or study.  An intensive course of instruction on a selected topic related to a particular field.

Those Who Learn...Teach
We learn 10% of what we read, 20% of what we hear, 30% of what we see, 50% of what we both see and hear, 70% of what is discussed with others, 80% of what we experienced personally, 95% of what we teach someone else! It is our philosophy that teaching is an instrumental part of learning martial arts. Those who truly want to learn must not only teach someone but develop a student throughout the various rank levels. This process forces the individual to dissect the entire spectrum of martial arts as well as internally reflect on their own growth and potential. This Student...Teacher... Student relationship is paramount to the life long commitment to martial arts and character development.
